Paint correction
Machine polishing that takes out swirl marks, haze and light scratches, so the paint reflects like glass again. Done at our studio, under the right lights.

Drag the tape across the light. That’s what we look for on every panel.

How we do it
Wash and decontaminate
Hand wash, iron remover and a clay bar, so no grit gets dragged under the pad.
Measure the paint
A paint depth gauge on every panel before any polishing.
Test spot
We try the gentlest pad and polish that works, on one small area first.
Compound and polish
Panel by panel, with a dual-action polisher, and a rotary where it’s needed.
Check under the light
A panel wipe, then a look under a swirl-finder light before we move on.
Protect it
A sealant is included. Most people add a coating while the paint is perfect.

What it fixes, and what it doesn’t
Fixes: swirl marks from automatic washes and dirty towels, haze, water spot etching, and light scratches that don’t catch a fingernail.
Doesn’t fix: scratches deep enough to catch a nail, rock chips, and clear coat that is peeling or chalky. Those need a body shop, and we’ll say so when we look at the car.
Worth knowing: polishing removes a very thin layer of clear coat. That’s why we measure first and stop where the paint tells us to.

Questions
Will it remove every scratch?
Not always. A two-step correction removes most of what you see, and we’ll point out anything too deep before we start.
Is polishing bad for my paint?
Done right, no. We measure the paint and use the least aggressive step that works, so there’s plenty left for the life of the car.
Should I get a coating after?
It’s the best time to. The paint is as clean as it will ever be, and a coating keeps it that way much longer than wax.
